Thanks. Have found that option and looks good with a little bit of tweaking.

Forum Post: Interactive Template not working
Hi All I am trying to use table 5064-Interaction Template to attach multiple different files/documents to for each employee in the employee. When i attach a document, it indicates YES, meaning it has been attached. When i go to a new line to attached another different file to the same employee, it replaces the previous attachment. So, it is accepting only one attachment per employee in the employee card. Is it possible to attach multiple different documents against each employee? What am i not doing right to get many, documents attached for each employee? Thanks.

Forum Post: Problem connecting with the RTC in a VPN
Hi everyone: I've just installed NAV2018 in a client server, with NavUserPassword credentials. For connectiong to the server, we are doing this procces: -Star OpenVPN -When OpenVPN is connected, we can connect to the server with the rdp, without any issue. But the problems comes when I started to install just the RTC in the PCs of the different workers of our customer. B efore starting to do that, I tried to install the RTC on my laptop in the office, and it seems to be right, until I tried to connect the RTC, where I found this error: "Cannot find anyserver in "net.tcp:// :7046/DynamicsNAV110/Service. The URL is incorrect or the server is not available actually" I've read lost of different articles, and in one of themn, they talk about the credential, that some VPN clients use kerberos credentials instead of NavUserPassword... I'm quite lost about this issue... Does anyone worked with this type of problems? Thank you very much, any help will be really appreciated

Forum Post: Export Picture Fields as WebService in NAV 2009 SP1
Dear All, I am trying to publish a picture field as web service in NAV 2009 SP1. Since I am not very familiar with automation objects I couldn't manage to succeed so far. I tried to replicate functions codeunit 99008516 - BizTalk XML DOM Management but I realized that I can not even compile the object because automation variable Base64 cannot be loaded. What should I do to use Base64 object, how and which library should I load to it work? Thanks and Regards, Ararat

Forum Post: RE: Export Picture Fields as WebService in NAV 2009 SP1
Hi Ararat, When you work with automation's then it's my experience that one of the things that often goes wrong is the versions. In your case that "could" be the problem. Normally when you install NAV or the prerequisites, then you should be able to compile all objects without additional installs. Are you able to compile codeunit 99008516? If yes, how did you create the automation variables in your new code? If you created them manually, then this may where you could have choose the wrong version of the automation. If you copied them, then they would most likely be ok.

Thanks. I have had customers ask for this change almost since I started working with Navision in 1990. Nice to see that it's now standard.

Forum Post: RE: Low performance with rapidstart in NAV2018
Hi Erik, in fact this problem exists and is very annoying. Especially when the database is quite big already, Rapidstart is not performing at all. At the end of the Import, an event is raised: ApiSetup in CU5465 "GraphMgt - General Tools". This event is handled by a number of other codeunits in the same area (30 times). A lot of database modifications starts off from here. The same code runs over and over (whenever you apply the package). So even if your package just contains one table with two fields and one record in this table. Rapidtstart takes 30 minutes or more to complete. (The more customers, invoices, payments and so on you have, the longer it takes).

Forum Post: RE: Transferring inventory between 2 companies - NAV 2009 R2
Well, in general, no. This is not possible. This is ending up as one company sells the stock to the other companie which purchases it. A "Transfer" only works for stuff within the same company (from one location to another location).

And I find it annoying that you cannot have a "general" customer no. and just change the name on the one order or invoice you will ever post to that customer.

Hello Thomas, thank you for commenting. I am a bit confused here, we have multiple customers who indeed have a "Cash customer" set up, and whenever they use this customer, they change the name and address fields for that specific order. Please find more from Microsoft Docs: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics-nav-app/finance-how-to-set-up-cash-customers

Yes Thomas, you are very right. I have after this thread, then I have seen reports about it in several places and heard it from other consultants. I would suggest to check in the release notes to newest CU's.

Well, in general, no. This is not possible. And while Thomas of course is right, it is not possible to to transfer inventory from one company to another using NAV's transfer functionality, then there are other ways. When we have two different legal companies, then any inventory that leaves one company, to enter into another company must be supported by a corresponding sales invoice and and purchase invoice. Instead you can take a look at NAV's intercompany functionality. This allows you to automate the inter company sales and purchase document flow, including your inventory. It's not by transfer orders, but intercompany invoices. I worked on a project where we had centralized inventory in a 3 global warehouse hubs. Each country subsidiary only had a minimal inventory for demos and trials etc. We had changed NAV to look up inventory levels in our global supply company (GSC) instead of our local company (using something similar to web services - it was 2003). Then when the order was placed (and released), NAV created the purchase order and transferred it to the GSC where it was created as a sales order. Any changes in the dates were automatically updated on the original sales order. A big part of our work ended up being also having to synchronize items. It took years of coding to fine tune it, but also had subsidiaries in about 20 different countries. So anything is possible, but not something anyone can tell you how to do just by giving you a list of steps you need to accomplish. And especially not with the level of information you have provide. Like is this a one-time thing? The customer bought a company and now closes it down? Then all you need is really an inventory journal in both companies. Or does the company continue and they need to transfer (buy/sell) inventory from it on a more long term basis? How many of this kind of inventory transfers/transactions will there be in a day? And is the other company already running NAV? And how many databases are they using?
